Poundon House, is a privately owned country-house retreat venue, located on the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire border within a beautiful countryside setting. The house has been refurbished to a beautiful standard, retaining its stunning original features. The rooms have a luxurious, traditional feel so feel homely and relaxed as well as a real treat. They are all spacious, beautifully decorated and have stunning views of the grounds and countryside. The house has a large communal spaces for guests to socialise and relax.
The yoga will take place in a stately room within the main house with large windows, high ceilings and wooden floors. All mats and props are provided.
Throughout the weekend you the opportunity to explore a range of yoga styles suitable for beginners as well as seasoned yogis. Vinyasa flow, yin, restorative and partner yoga will all be part of the mix with the important teachings of the Yoga Sutra's weaved into each session. There will also be opportunities to practice pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation throughout.
As a certified Natural Chef, Ceri Jones, from Natural Kitchen Adventures, lovingly prepares all her meals using nutritious whole foods and making the most of our seasons. She'll serve up an abundance of colourful and nutritious vegetarian food and we guarantee you will not go hungry. Breakfast, brunch and lunch served as a help yourself buffet and dinners are a plated two course meal. What's more, you'll have the opportunity to try your hand at some healthy cooking of your own in her workshop. Ceri's passion is abundant so no doubt you will go home inspired and with several new recipes!
Treat yourself to a pampering facial or massage (or both!) with one of wonderful holistic therapists. Treatments incur an additional charge of £45 for 60 mins or £30 for 30 mins and will be scheduled in free time over the weekend (where possible).
